Running a household recovery rehearsal
A rehearsal is not a treasure hunt for fun—it is a timed check that your Secure Seed Phrase Organizer still matches reality. Keep it short so you will actually repeat it.
Set a thirty-minute window
Block a quiet half hour. Decide who is the “seeker” and who holds the sealed instruction card. The seeker should not have memorized every drawer nickname.
Start the clock at the front door
Begin as if you just arrived home after travel. The seeker follows only the card: which room, which container, which visual cue. Stop if anyone is tempted to speak the phrase aloud.
Log friction, not blame
Write down missing light, sticky locks, or ambiguous labels. Update the organizer sheet the same day while details are fresh.
End without opening sealed material unless required
If the drill only tests location finding, you may leave seals intact. Full word verification belongs to a rarer, higher-caution session.
